Welcome to DJR Swim School! We are a small family run business that teaches with an emphasis on enjoying swimming. We teach pupils in small groups with a focus on good technique.
We are a member of the Institute of Swimming and grade children using the National Teaching Plan. Certificates are available on request.
Due to the small numbers of pupils in classes we are able to teach children from age 3 and provide lessons for children who have special needs.
We do allow children to wear goggles but it is better if they do not as the National Teaching Plan does not permit
Goggles to be worn during grading.
We have taught lots of children who have been very
nervous over the years, do not worry if your child is taking
Longer to learn the skills needed to swim. Everyone learns
at a different speed and develops confidence differently.
Persevere - we will get there!
Please do not ask us to push your child’s head under
the water as this is something we will never do.
We teach beginners by encouraging them and
praising their positive achievements.
